Wednesday, October 15, 2014: The last day to file for 2013 Form 1040

If you have not yet filed your 2013 Form 1040, the due date is midnight, 10-15-14.  The IRS states the extension of time to file is NOT an extension of time to pay!.

Even, if you do not have the ability to full pay your unfiled 2013 Form 1040, you should still file.  Upon receipt of your 2013 Form 1040, the IRS will issue its first billing notice in 30 to 60 days.

If you can not pay your 2013 Form 1040 in full, you should include a check payable to: United States Treasury, for as much as you can afford.

As a reminder, Monday, October 13, 2014 is a federal holiday and all IRS offices, United States Post Offices, and most banks will be closed that date.

As an Enrolled Agent, I have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to prepare your unfiled 2013 Form 1040.

Finally, if you have requested the 2013 extension of time to file, you should now start gathering your income ane expense tax records, to timely file your 2014 Form 1040, prior to Wednesday, April 15, 2015.
