U.S. Passport expiring soon?
The U.S. State Department has a message: "Renew it now".
Ten years ago for the first time American passports were required for travel to Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean islands, and Bermuda.
The State Department expects the first time applicants from ten years ago to renew in 2016 and 2017.
In addition, starting in 2016, if you owe the IRS more than $50,000 your passport could be revoked, or you could be denied in the passport application.
